BLOG: Online platforms are crucial in enabling our business community to stay active in these times

During these testing health and economic times, it is good to know there are ways and means for keeping the business community active.

Especially during a spell when we will need to support each other more than ever.

I had a really good online, video-link session with a company today and the ease of use of platforms like ‘Team’ and ‘Zoom’ make it easy to do so.

They are likely to become more and more important over what are likely to be some difficult weeks coming up.

Of course, we all have to respect the restrictions put upon us to try and keep as healthy as possible. At the same time, for the future of our businesses and our livelihoods, the economy simply has to keep moving whenever it can.

Online learning platforms

I have been used to the online learning platforms for a while having delivered webinars to groups like ERSA (Employment Related Services Association) and AELP (Association of Employment and Learning Providers) over the past 18 months.

They are set to continue over the next 12 months with numerous dates already planned in with subjects like: Tendering 101, Getting Tender Ready, Improving Tendering Success, National Adult Education Budget Tender and The New Register of Training Organisations.

The online learning platforms allow us, not only to talk and discuss ideas, plans and working methods, but they also allow us to share documents and presentations.

Although working plans will be going somewhat into the unknown over the next few weeks, online sessions will enable us to spread techniques, education and information and that will be crucial to keep businesses moving.

Tendering process

It is also worth noting that much of the regular tendering process is done online from start to finish so I will be doing everything that I can to still train, educate and inform businesses and get them fully prepared for when the economy once again begins moving through the gears.

It goes without saying that if you or your organisation need any help with the delivery of online sessions for you or your staff, please get in touch.

Good luck to everyone over the coming weeks.
