My name is Steve O'Hare and I am the founder and owner of SCLO Consulting.
I started the business in 2018 after 15 years of winning new contracts in the education sector. Now I am using that knowledge base to help my clients bid for tenders and learn all about the processes involved.
SCLO was born to specialise in:
A highlight of my time before launching SCLO was heading up a team that was awarded 26 contracts worth close to £50m in a 12-month period.
I got an even bigger buzz after starting SCLO when I worked with NCFE to help them to a 100% winning record when bidding in the T-Levels market in 2019.
I operate SCLO with strong values. I get out of bed in the mornings with the intention of winning contracts. I will only take work on if I feel that I have a good chance of adding value and helping that particular client secure new work, simply because I hate losing.
There is nothing like the kick you get in planning for, tendering for and then being awarded new contracts. In addition, I get pleasure by helping businesses grow by helping them increase their understanding and knowledge base, through coaching and development.

I will examine if a particular tender is right for you and your company and advise you honestly and openly about whether to try and win that contract – or not. If you want to spend money with me, I want to give you the best chance of winning.
I will listen to you and understand your business. I will find out what makes you strong and unique and sets you apart from your competitors.
Tenders can be complicated so it is my job to demystify the process and make it as straightforward as possible. I’ll use my expertise of experience of understanding procurement and its processes to learn exactly what’s required from a bid - and then break it down into understandable chunks.
I will always answer your questions because there is no such thing as a silly question. I will be approachable and hope that my reputation and the word-of-mouth recommendations I have had, will make any potential new clients realise how open and easy to talk to I am.

Since launching SCLO, I have been lucky enough to work with nationally recognised bodies such as the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Employment and Learning Providers and the Employment Related Services Association, as well as many other leading organisations and bodies throughout a range of industries.
The success of SCLO in its first 18 months has opened new doors to new business and I am keen to continue with that diversification. A tender is a tender, whatever the industry.
