I have been winning new business for the last 14 years, in the welfare to work, skills and apprenticeship markets from a range of funding bodies and employers.
Over the last eight years I have lead teams which have won contracts of all sizes through tender activity, with over £360m of new business secured.
At the beginning of 2018, I made the decision to set up my own business to provide tender and business development support to a range of other companies and began to think why I had been so successful.
To understand this more I engaged with Ian Clarke at Workforce Solutions Group, who use a cutting-edge web based tool called MindSonar®.
MindSonar® measures how you think in a specific situation and assumes that you will think differently in different situations. MindSonar® does not assume that any thinking style is good or bad, as every thinking style has its time and place where they can be helpful.
Following a feedback session on my thinking style, ‘writing winning tenders’, Ian and I got talking about how we could use this to support and coach others. From this we have developed a one-day course, ‘The Mindset of Tendering’.
This is designed to help you tender more effectively and attain the right mindset and ultimately have more success in tendering activity.
As part of the course, you will learn the most effective principles of tendering and have a MindSonar® profile taken so you can identify your thinking strengths and blind spots when tendering.
This first two specially-designed one-day programmes will run on June 13 and July 11, 2018.
