The education market is always changing and there are always different things happening.
If you don’t like change, you are in the wrong market.
One of the really interesting things that is currently taking place centres around T Level activity.
T Levels are new technical study programmes that will sit alongside apprenticeships and A Levels within a reformed skills training system.
The first wave of T Level activity has been and gone and it will be interesting to see how that informs the other route ways and streams that come on to be tendered in 2019 and 2020.
The market engagement has already started for this year's activity with the tender process due to start at the beginning of April.
In terms of a programme, it looks really interesting and will hopefully join up classroom-based activity with work-based activity, with the effective crossover of having the two built in.
It will be fascinating to see how technical education can enable high learning, onto learning at university level – or whether that be a degree apprenticeship or people transferring from a T level to a degree.
It will be interesting to keep tabs on and to see how that alternative route for young people helps our economy.
